Copying data to a Word Table

Kara

I have a customer who receives data in a Word document and then will need to
convert it to a Word table in order to use it as a data source for mail
merge. An example of the data he receives is:

Craig A. Jensen
50 E. 200 S.
Salt Lake City
USA

He then has to copy and paste each line into a Word table, create the mail
merge letter and then merge the document.

Is their an easier way to use this data for a mail merge document? Can we
get around the copy and paste step?

Thanks for your help!

Generally, if all the addresses are 4 lines, this is extremely easy. Just
select all lines (if there's a line in between each one, then select an
extra line at the end, too). Then, Table--Convert--Text to Table, choose 5
columns.
