Copying formats

Can anybody tell me how I can copy the formating of one
part of a spreadsheet (e.g. last year's data) to another
part of the spreadsheet (or to another spreadsheet)
without also copying the figures?

You can copy the range, then use Paste special - Formats. Or use the format
painter on the Standard toolbar.
