Copying Formulas

Kris

Why is it when I copy a formula into a cell and hit enter, the formula is in
writing, in the cell itself?
Argh??

Make sure the cell is not formatted to 'Text'. Rigth click>Format
cells>number>Change to 'General' and try copying the formula..

If this post helps click Yes

The cell was probably already formatted as text. Select that cell and change
its format to General or some number or date format (whatever is
appropriate). Then press F2 and Enter.

Hope this helps,

Hutch

Jacob and Tom, Thanks for trying, but it did the same thing. I can't figure
out what is going wrong. Iv'e been up all night.
And to think I just yesterday finished my Class on Excell. I dislike this
part very much!

Hi Kris
Maybe try press and hold the Ctrl button and press the "tilde" top left of the
keyboard before number 1.
This toggles the formula show/no show.
