Copying from Excel to Word

HELP!!!!!! I have several machines that when you copy and paste from excel
to word using the paste special and choosing Picture, the color fonts do not
copy over. If I use just a simple copy and paste they come over but so do the
lines. I don't want to link the excel documnet to the word document. I have
compared a machine that works to the one that doesn't and I don't seem to see
any differences.

Any help would be GREAT.

Thanks

Set a color printer as your default printer.

Thanks for the suggestion and I have done that but it didn't work. I am also
a little confused, why would changing the default printer to a color printer
help when I am trying to copy and paste?

Really? Nuts. I was 99% certain it would work.

I don't know exactly why it does, but setting a color printer as the default
printer fixes this same problem when people copy from Excel to PPT and lose
the color in the text.

Since a "simple copy paste" works for you except for the gridlines, maybe
you can just turn the gridlines off in Excel. Tools/Options/View, Gridlines
is on that tab.

Another workaround is to turn the colors of the gridlines to whit
before performing the copy and paste..:cool
