Copying macros using the Organizer

J

Joe Smith

I'm curious as to why I am not able to see my macros when
I open the Organizer. I either see no macros showing in
the Organizer for my documents or templates that have
macros, or I just see NewMacros.

When I go to Tools, Macro, Macros for the document or
template storing the macro, I am able to see the macros.
And they do work.

Copying the macros in the editor does work, but I'd like
to know why I'm not able to see them in the Organizer.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Joe,

The Organizer only shows Modules, not macros (yes, the tab is somewhat
misleading).

To separate out individual macros you need to use the vba Editor. Alt-F11

All recorded macros are stored in a single module called "new macros." You
can't change this but you can move them to a different module after you
finish recording them.
