Copying Macros

Hi. I don't know anything about macros so if this is a dumb question, sorry.

Can macros be copied from one computer to another, and if so, where are they
stored (I think normal.dot)? There's a lady at my office who got a new
computer and I'm tired of hearing her complain about having to recreate those
things. I'd really appreciate any help so I can pass it on to her.

A macro can be stored in any document or template. have her look in
Tools, Macro, Macros, Macros in, for the various ones she may be storing
them in.

Word macros are simply VBA for Word subroutines. As such, they
can be copied as text files and installed as subroutines by
copying onto the new machine. The route is Tools/Macros/Macro
and the medium for transfer could be any sort of removable disc
or even e-mail.
