Copying names and addresses for pasting into letters - Glitch

Using Outlook 2003. Want to copy a name and address to the clipboard for pasting into a letter or label (I do this a lot). I also want, presumably like most people, to list my contacts alphabetically by last name. But Outlook copies the name from the "file as" field, which means that the name appears in my letter as "Smith, John." Now, most of us don't address letters that way; so why didn't MS programmers make the macro copy the name from the "full name" field, which would solve the problem
Does anyone know of a fix for this annoying glitch so that I don't have to fix the name in my document

There is no such glitch. List the precise steps you are using so we can see
what you're doing wrong.
