copying pdf tables into excel

Is there a smooth way of copying pdf tables into excel
without destroying the structure of the table? Otherwise
is there any function like FIND that can start the search
from the end of a textstring?

Hi Thomas,
Acrobat (not the reader) has that ability.
Click the dropdown arrow next to the text selection tool in the toolbar and
choose table/formatted text tool.
Then copy & paste.

I don't see that option available through the menus.
