Copying Resized Shapes

In Visio 2002, whenever I try to copy and paste a resized shape, the pasted
shape reverts to the original template shape size. I've tried locking the
shape height and width before copying, but the pasted shape still reverts to
the template size. Is there a way to retain the changed size when copying &
pasting?

I guess I'd start by checking the size in the shapesheet before and after
copying/pasting to see if it really was changing or it is just a matter of
perspective (i.e. page size relationship comes into the observation).

Thanks for your reply. I've checked the shapesheets and they are different
sizes. I'm trying to copy a shape within the same page of a diagram, so
perspective shouldn't be an issue. Any other suggestions?

I have Visio 2002 as well. Instead of 'copying' shapes, 'duplicate' them! I
use 'Ctrl D' to duplicate shapes that I've customized. Works great. Have
you tried this?

Thanks for your suggestion. I hadn't tried duplicating, so I just opened the
file and tried it. Unfortunately, the duplicated shape still reverted to the
original size. This chart is done using the organization chart template --
could it be a function of that template? I don't have the same problem when
I'm using the flowchart template.
