Copying resource pools

Jan M.

Hello,

Suppose there are two resource pools on two different servers (2003). The
resources in both pools are the same but there are some differences in RBS,
calendars, capacity...

What can I do to make sure pool B is the same as pool A without having to
manually modify every resource in pool B.

Thanks

Jan M.

This is a kluge, but it will work.

In Enterprise Global, create a MS Project view
showing every single variable you used
including all Enterprise fields.

Open Resource Pool (read only) and cut and
paste the whole thing into Excel "Sheet1". (If you
choose all columns, it won't "cut", so don't
select the "i" indicator column.

Do the same thing for the second resource pool but
copy it to "Sheet2" of the same file.

You said it's the same people correct?
You can just write a formula using EXACT or
something compare each cell.

It's a pain, but it would be more accurate
than "eyeballing" it...

Thanks Rick.

I'll give it a try.
