Copying Styles from Specimen Doc to Template

[Word 2002] The styles I had in a particular template were not very
helpful, so I modified them in the document I was drafting. Now I
would like to copy the modified styles into the template, overwriting
the similarly-named styles that are now in the template. I cannot
find a way to do that. Is it possible?

Use the Organizer. There are several ways to get to it, eg Format > Style,
click the Organizer button. Use the Close/Open File buttons to select your
two files, select the styles in the source file, then click Copy.

Thanks very much, Jez. That's exactly what I was looking for.

[FWIW, in Word 2002, Organizer is under Tools/Templates and Add-
Ins... Could it be any *harder* to find??]

Be sure to click the Copy button three times while the styles are selected.
Otherwise they may not work properly, at least if any of them are based on
each other. This may have been fixed in 2002 but I haven't checked it.
