The usual way would be:
1. Select the table in Word (e.g. by wiping the mouse along the tops
of the columns, with the cursor looking like a downwards arrow).
2. Copy the table to the clipboard (press Ctrl+C or, from Menu:
Edit>Copy)
3. Switch to the slide you want in PP, and
4. Paste the table there (Edit>Paste or Ctrl+V)
I haven't tried this with Word and PowerPoint, but it works, for
instance, with Word and Excel.
