Copying text from another program

I am using Word 2007 (Vista) in conjunction with Logos Bible software, which
uses the Libronix Digital Library System 3.0f.

I am encountering a problem when I copy Bible verses from Logos to Word. In
the Old Testament, the standard convention is that, when you have God's name
(Yahweh) in the Hebrew, it is translated in English as "Lord," using small
caps, to differentiate it from the Hebrew word "Adonai" which actually means
Lord. When I copy a verse that has Lord in small caps from the Bible into
Word, Word removes the small caps and simply leaves the word "Lord" with
initial caps only.

I noticed that in the definition for the "Normal" style in Word, it
specifies "No Small Caps." I am assuming this is why it is removing it.
However, I don't seem to be able to figure out how to fix this -- I either
get "No Small Caps" or "All Small Caps." I don't know how to work around this
without having to proofread everything I copy and fix each word myself, which
is not practical.

I also made sure that my Advanced options were set to keep the source
formatting when pasting from another program, but that doesn't make any
difference.

Is there a way to edit the "Normal" style so it doesn't remove the
formatting? Or, is there a way to create a different style that doesn't have
this problem? Or, is there another way to do this?

Help...

If you click the Small Caps box twice in the Format > Font panel under
Modify Style, it should get filled with a color, which means it
ignores that format and leaves whatever it finds in the imported text.
