Copying the content from a new mail message into a new window

Hi guys and gals,

Hope someone can help?

I used to be able to open a new e-mail, enter generic content as a template
to send to multiple users and then hit what I thought was ctrl+f which is now
the find function.

Is there anyway without creating a template of quickly making direct copies
of content that appears in an outgoing mail yet to be sent that will open a
new window keeeping the exact information and attachments from the original?

It was very similar to ctrl+N but the new window opened with the content
already in it.

I have recently upgraded to office 2003 from 2002 so not sure if that will
have changed anything?

Not for me. CTRL-F is "forward", which does what you say you want. In what
window are you when you press CTRL-F?

Create a new message containing what you want and save it in your Drafts
folder. The when you want to send it, right-click it and choose Forward.
For me, CTRL-F does the same thing.

I think I've worked out why the 'forward' functionality has been over ridden
by the find pop-up. We recently had new mail signatures set-up which require
the use of word to edit messages to ensure the signatures don't lose the
formatiing. I have just switched off the edit in word function and the ctrl+f
to forward works but the signature loses it formatting.

I can overwrite this and considering I only use of the 'forward'
functionality on rare occasions isn't a big deal but I would be interested if
anyone had a work around?

P.S. the forward works in the drafts screen with the edit in word switched
on? So maybe that's the work around?

This makes sense. You're using Word as your mail editor, so it stands to
reason that Word's keyboard shortcuts will be the active shortcuts. Click
the "Edit" menu and you'll see "Ctrl+F" is the shortcut for "Find".
However, whether you use Word or the Outlook editor, if you're sending an
HTML message, the signature shouldn't lose its formatting. If you're
sending a Plain Text message, then, of course, signatures can have no
formatting other than character placement.

Yes. Use Ctrl+F _before_ you open the message. Select it and then press
Ctrl+F to open the message in Word for forwarding.
