Copying to CD/RW Drive

When I try to copy My Document files using Windows ME to
Drive F (CD/RW), I get the message "Please insert a disk
into Drive F" whether the disk is CD/R or CD/RW. I have
had no difficulty backing up Quicken or copying CDs to the
same drive. Is Windows ME lacking a driver or is there
some special software that I need? Thanks.
