Copying to CD/RW Drive

BEATSME

When I try to copy Windows ME My Document files to Drive F
(CD/RW), I get the message "Please insert a disk into
Drive F" whether the disk is a CD/RW or CD/R. I have no
difficulty backing up Quicken or copying CDs to the same
drive. Is Windows ME lacking a driver or is there some
special software I ned. Thanks.

If you want to copy to CD/RW as if it were a BIG floppy
disk, you'll need a UDF driver.
Examples are Nero INCD, and Adaptec (Roxio) DirectCD.
INCD and DirectCD are not fully compatible with each
other. Use one OR the other.

DirectCD uses CD/RW or CD/R, INCD allows only CD/RW.

Either will allow you to format a CD/RW to UDF format, and
then write directly to it.

Good Luck.

Barry.
