Copying to Word

I regularly copy text from various web pages and paste into a Word Doc.
Recently I'm experiencing a long delay after I've pasted and before the text
appears in Word. It used to appear almost immediately. I'm using IE6 and
Word 2000 and this has only become a problem in recent days. I'm not aware
of having changed anything. Any ideas anyone?
