Copying Word 2000 Tables - URGENT

I have a client who is trying to copy a formatted table from one Word 2000
document to another. When she pastes (regardless of whether she uses paste
special or paste cells), the table loses its formatting. How can she paste
the table and retain the formatting?

All help is greatly appreciated.
