Copying Work from Baseline into Work

Is there a way to move time-phased baseline hours into the timephased work
(without manual cut and paste). Can this be done?

This is a baselining in reverse so to speak.

What version of Project Server? There is an easy Stored Procedure that can
be set up if you are on 2003. Newer versions are slightly more complex on
the Database. But the process is still simple.

Dear Microsoft Project User,

I understand your question as the time-phased "Baseline work" needs to be
copied to time-phased "Work" (Scheduled Work).

1. Change to view - Resource Usage, Task Usage - that shows time-phased data
2. Customize the time-phased portion to include "Work" and "Base. Work" Rows.
3. Select the basline work row by clicking the row heading "Base. Work".
4. Copy; Ctrl + C
5. Select the scheduled work row by clicking the row heading "Work".
6. Paste; Ctrl + V.

If you want the reverse to happen (Scheduled work is the source and Baseline
Work is the target), select the "Work" row and copy it to "Base. Work" and
clear the baseline by Tools > Tracking, Clear Baseline.

Please let me know if this helps.

Regards
Sai, PMP
