Corporate key with oem cd

I've lost the orginal Office 2003 Professional installation cd which is
part of an (old) Volume Licening program.

So that code won't work on an OEM version of the install cd; is there a
way of 'modifying' the setup.ini to accept the VL key?

I now this can be done with an Windows XP OEM cd, can it also be done
with Office?

You have a real problem, without the origional disk the volume licencing dept
cannot generate a key that will work on a burnt cd, in fact you can't even
prove its a legitimate copy to them. messing with the ini files is just a bad
idea in office as it tends to be used for business and or university... and
as luck will have it crashes happen at the worst times.

Hey ya know... if your system will take it.. a more stable solution for you
might be to try a beta (totally unsupported and not officially released...but
don't cost 800 bucks either.. hell its free!) Office 2007 Pro beta

just download it (long download) and save it to an office flat on a cd or
your comp. Microsoft will give you a key for it during the download process
on one of the webpages. You'll be running the cutting edge then. I use it,
whole new interface and I havn't had any problems with it yet..

just another option for ya, good luck.
