Having upgraded from Outlook 2000 to 2007 Beta 2, am wondering how can I
select Internet E-mail, rather then Corporate?

Outlook does not have separate modes in Outlook 2002, 2003 or 2007. What
makes you think you need separate modes?

I'm suspect that it is needed, thus photos will show on an e-mail rather then
as an attachment.

Never in any version of Outlook. You are thinking of Outlook Express.

I am however getting RED X's frequently now in messages received in my Inbox.
Why? I am not running any Norton's/McAfee stuff, but am running OneCare &
Defender.

Red X's simply mean the web based content is not available. That is not
because you've changed Outlook versions.
Photos have never displayed within the email messages.
