Correct Application

Good afternoon,
I am not sure that Infopath is the correct application for what I am trying
to accomplish.
I have two groups that are physically seperated but the people that they are
treating are the same. I want to have a simple form that will allow one group
to input the data such as persons name and the times that certain actrivities
are done, so that the other group can see the progress of the activities. I
have built the form, but I am having a heck of a time getting it to work
easily.
Should I have used another method to show these activities? If so, what one
would you suggest

HI,
I think by following the below steps you can implement your functionality.

Add these two Groups in user roles in InfoPath form.
Add a field in InfoPath form.
Add the conditional formatting for all the fields with the above newly added
field.
For example:
Field1 is not equal to 0.
If the above condition is true then make the field read-only otherwise
editable.
Set the newly added field value in the code depending on the user role.
