Correct punctuation in scanned docs? Won't change in font setting.

Having problems correcting punctuation marks in scanned doc - editable text
(using MSWord). Commas, quotation marks, etc. are not consitant throughout
the doc. Some are straight, others curved. Won't correct with manually
changing in font settings or special characters. I have completed editing
this doc except these errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Making sure that you have "Straight quotes with smart quotes" (and only that
option) checked on the AutoFormat tab of Tools | AutoCorrect, run AutoFormat
over your document.
