Correcting Actual Work Assignemenets when PWA and Project Pro do notmatch

Hell. Client migrated from '03 to '07. The MS Proejct file has the
assisgnment complted and is corrct, but in PWA, the assisnment is
complted and streteched over 2 days.

This is a production environment. If I were to save the project down
as an mpp file, set the task to 0% complete and then republish could
this correct? I have no idea how big of an effort this will be,
there are approximatly 110 projects.
