Correcting Indents

I have a large project someone tinkered with while I was on vacation
and now when I go to indent things the whole schedule moves. The
indents are all messed up. How do I manually over ride MS PROJECTS
THINKING? I sure indents are grouped by some code.

No, indents are not groups by some code.
Indenting things will cause the schedule to move because a task which was
formerly an ordinary task now becomes a summary task and takes on a duration
based on the durations of the ordinary tasks which it summarizes.

You can not override this behavior. It is the way it is designed to work.
