We are migrating many of our users to Entourage 2004 (SP2), connecting
to an Exchange server. We encourage our users to use OWA when they are
not in the office, but we're having a problem with the received date
being incorrect on mail we have imported from mboxes (from a variety of
clients). The received date in Entourage takes on the date of import.
The sent date remains correct. That's fine in Entourage since you can
sort by Date Sent and be reasonably close to the mark. OWA, however,
sorts only by Date Received, so if we put a few month's worth of a
user's email into folders on the exchange server, there's no way to
actually sort by a/useful/ date. I've tried all of the "Change the
date" and "Correct the Date" scripts from Barry and Allen, et al - but
they all ignore the received date and only affect the sent date (which
is within a minute or two of being correct to begin with).
What I'd like to find is a script that copies the existing "sent" date
and makes that the received date as well. Have I missed it somewhere?
Thanks.
