Corrupt attachments? Maybe not...

I've noticed a couple of issues with Word attachments in Entourage on
my Exchange mailbox lately where I'll save the attachment and then
Word 2008 will refuse to open the message indicating either that the
file type is blocked for security reasons or that the file may be
corrupt.

I finally figured this out when I noticed an email that only showed a
single attachment in Entourage that should have had multiple
attachments. That was when I noticed the "message has been partially
downloaded" message in the message preview window of Entourage. Once I
downloaded the entire message I was able to properly save and open my
Word attachments.

Shame on me for missing the "parially downloaded" warning, but shame
on Entourage for not downloading the entire message when an attachment
is being saved from the preview window causing a "corrupt" attachment
to be saved instead.

Good point. Use Send Feedback to Microsoft from the Help menu to ask MS for
a change to this feature. Entourage should at least warn you that you're
trying to download an attachment from an incomplete message.
