This problem has only occurred when sending a word document as an attachment
from a specific Windows XP Pro machine to any other machine on the network.
When the recipient tries to open the attached word document, the following
error message pops up:
Word was unable to read this document. It may be corrupt. Try one or more
of the following:
*Open and Repair the file.
*Open the file with the Text Recovery converter.
(c:\path\filename.doc)
I am aware that this was a problem that was supposed to be fixed by service
pack 2 for Office 2003. All machines are running Office 2003 SP2. I have
tried a "detect and repair" from the machine in question. I have also tried
to completely uninstalled ms office and re-installed it on this workstation.
The documents are fine until they are sent from this workstation. Any ideas?
