Corrupt Autotext

G

Greg Pocias

I have Office 2000 on an XP Pro machine with the Normal.dot residing in the user's home directory on an NT 4.0 server. The autotext entries are available for selection, but when chosen only appear as strange charaters and empty boxes. The user has corrected (reentered) the entries only to have the same problem several days later. The other features of the Normal.dot seem fine (such as custom toolbars and styles) and is happening to other users with similiar setup.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi =?Utf-8?B?R3JlZyBQb2NpYXM=?=,

A better place to ask about this would probably be the word.setup.network
newsgroup. My guess is that there's a problem with NT4, but I don't know enough
about that system to tell you exactly where to look.

As a test, you might try putting Normal.dot on the user's machine and see if the
problem goes away.
