corrupt chapter in a manuscript I am writing

The chapter comes up in coded form which I cannot read,
print or send. I am lost because of the research and time
spent on this chapter. Can someone help me?

Hi Marian

Before you panic, check your File - Open dialog. If you have this set to
'Recover text from any file' this can display the contents of the document
in a 'coded' form.
