Corrupt email attachments

I am having a problem when someone sends me an
attachments, usually a PDF or JPG. I get an error message
that the file is corrupt and cannot be repaired. If I
receive the message in Netscape, this does not happen. I
am running OL2002 on XP Pro. Any suggestions?
