I have an Excel workbook that appears to be corrupt. I've been using it
almost daily (in OSX Tiger) for almost two months, with no problems. But
now it's extremely slow-loading, and I get the spinning beachball if I
want to make even simple changes in a cell. Other workbooks load fast
and work fine. I found several tips on usenet for clearing up the problem
(including trashing the Office preferences), but nothing works. I logged
in to my Mac under a different user name to test it and the file works
fine there, so there must be something in my main account's user folder
that is gumming up the problem file. Any clues from Excel/Mac gurus? I'd
like to not have to log in to a different account just for this one
file, and I'm trying to avoid having to rebuild it, since even copying
the data that's in the cells sends up the spinning beachball for about
five minutes (and there's not much data in it at all).
