Corrupt File or Directory message

When starting Groove I am getting an error saying there is a corrupt file or
directory in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Loacal Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Office\Groove\System

I have tried reinstalling and rebooting with no luck.

Please advise and thanks.

Hi John -

Sounds like your Grove data files might be corrupted.

Check your drive for errors,
Back up your Groove account, making sure you know the password
Delete GRoove *AND* its associated data

Re-install and use your account backup to get back up and running.

You might also install your account on another PC before doing the above :)

If it turns out that you do have a corrupted account, after you have saved
your account file, you will want to archive any spaces in which you are the
lone member (right click on the space in the launch bar for this option. To
clean off your corrupted account, see this technote:
