Corrupt File Recovery?

Overview:
App: Visio 2000 Technical
Problem: Corrupt File
Need: File recovery / data recovery

Specifics:
The file is +/- 1Mb
While working on it, I lost power to the whole office.
Sadly, I don't have UPS for this box.
The PC went down with everything else, and after power
was restored and then booting up, I cannot open the file.

Visio reports that 'this is not a visio file'.

It seems that the file was somehow corrupted by the
random shutdown.

This is a very important file.
(I now know why my peers admonish me to do backups...)

I desperately need to recover this file, or at least as
much of it as I can.

My question, then, is:

How can I get this file back?
I am open to trying the recovery myself, as well as being
willing to send it to someone who would like to try or to
some company (paid of course). (There's
nothing 'sensitive' about it)

Please, please, please, help.

Did you have the latest Service Packs installed (currently no. 2)?

Yes, the SP is applied already (well, all the Visio2K
stuff is- I run Office XP for the other MS Office stuff).

I've sent you the file in email, so you can take a look.

Any added/other help from other MVPs , etc., is still
desired, so chime in, please!
