There was a brief thread back in June 2005 about the 'corrupt font"
error messages. A search of the forum shows no resolutioon to the
problem, however. But I've now encountered it, too, with both Excel
2004 and Word X. On opening, these apps - on occasion, not every time -
will start reporting that my fonts are corrupt and should be removed.
They'll go through the font list alphabetically, font-by-font, for
about 50 or so fonts (haven't counted them yet). I have to dismiss the
dialogs one by one. The errors stop well before reaching the end of the
list of installed fonts.
Config.:
PM G5 dual 2 Ghz w/2.5 Gb RAM and MBP 2 Ghz w/2 Ghz RAM, OS X 10.4.6 on
both. Excel 11.2.3 and Word X Release 1.
Anyone found an explanation and solution yet?
