corrupt lines in tables

hi all

we have recently updated our computer systems from access
97 to access XP. we have converted our database to 2002
format. Since then we are getting corrupt lines in or
tables as below

CUSTOMER PART NO QTY ORDER NO SHIP DATE
㘰P揾 慤ョヾ ⴸ㄰〵ⴳ ㌰P 〱P㓾 00:00:00 ㌰Vㇾ
〰??㔠

we can find out what the record should and compact and
repair the database and delete the record and re key the
line in ada

1) Have you investigated the OpLocks problem to see if that may be the
cause? One of the two conditions for which people seem to start
noticing this problem is after converting from A97 to A2000 or newer.
