T
the snowman
Suddenly for no apparent reason, the formatting in new Word docs has gone
haywire. If I center a title, then try to left align the next line,
everything moves to the left. When I try to re-center the title, everything
moves to center. If I have several paragraphs, and try to number one of them,
all the paragraphs will number. It's as if Word is no longer recognizing
paragraph breaks for formatting purposes (though I can make separate
paragraphs).
I have renamed normal.dot, and reopened Word to create a new template, but
the errors continue. I can, however, open an old document, rename it, and
start from there without any problems. Something has happened along the way
that is affecting new documents. It's a mystery as to why creating a new
template didn't help.
Any clues?
