Corrupt PST problem?

All,

I have a PST that I cannot access anymore. I tried the SCANPST.exe utility,
but it buzzed right through the PST, and on Phase 6 of 8 it said: "An error
has occurred which caused the scan to be stopped. No changes have been made
to the scanned file."

Any ideas on what to do? I also noticed that the PST file itself is showing
as being 74kB, and I know thats not right....

Thanks for any advice.

Search your hard drive for all PST files and see if you can find the right
one. Make sure you have your search set to look inside hidden folders, as
most Windows versions in use now put Outlook files in hidden folders by
default.

The minimum size of an empty PST file is 265KB, so 74KB is even less
than empty, but certainly broken. I don't think there is any way to
recover such a broken PST file, except from a recent backup.

Pat,

That is what I was thinking, but thought it was worth double checking.

Thanks!
