CORRUPT!!

Hey ppl, I was wondering if this has ever happened to
anyone, and if it has, is there any chance to recover the
file??

you save a word document to desktop, you try to drag it
to a folder without first closing the document, you get
an error msg telling you to close the document first. YOu
close the document, drag it into the folder, and somehow
the folder is corrupted, and the file can no longer be
opened, and any other files dragged into the folder
cannot be opened neither. O/S is WinXP and its Word 2000

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm, Try going through the Dos environment.

In the folder above, where corrupted folder is, type:

xcopy corruptedfolder/x.doc x.doc


I haven't tried it as I do not have a corrupted folder to
work with.
