Corrupted database

I have a SubProcedure that has been used for over a year
now and has been successful. The subProcedure run two
queries in success. One updates data in the table with
fresh data from another table. The second, add any data
to the table.

When I run the queries in the query Builder Screen, they
work fine. When I run them in the VBA, the first one does
an overwrite instaed of updating. Thus it overwrites some
data that I want to keep.

I am at a loss. What could be happening?
