Corrupted file

Is there any other way to repair a corrupted file? The repair option does not
work. If there is any other way, any help would be appreciated.

When you say Repair option, I presume you mean the Open and Repair option in
Word 2003? Have you tried opening a blank document and using Insert, File?
If that fails, the file is probably badly damaged. You can try to open it
using the Recover Text from Any File option and if that fails, it may open
in WordPad. The last resort would be to open it in a plain text editor.

A table in this document has become corrupted. To recover the contents of the
table select the table and choose convert table to tect from table menu. That
is the error and then there are more recovery options below. Which were all
followed.
Thanks again.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you're saying. Is your problem
resolved?

You asked for the symptoms that made him think the document was corrupt. He
was quoting the error message.

Thank you Suzanne. I was just catching up after a couple of tiring days away
and it simply didn't register.

Mike,

I'm not entirely sure what you've done or what you've lost. A quick Google
returned this:

I don 't know if it will be of any help.

If not, it can sometimes help to save the document either as RTF or HTML and
then close and open it and save the result as a doc file again - you may
however lose some formatting in the process, it depends what your document
contains. If none of that helps, can you give some more detail.
