I just created my post with details and the site crashed so I am going to try
a Cliff Note Version.
Client - Excel File (3+MB) - used successfully on SBS 2003 network on the
SharePoint Site with minor difficulties getting it to save properly.
This months file, with only 50 records, is opening and immedialy halting the
computer until we close it down with task manager.
His machine partially shows a window with error that not enough system
resources to display.
I eMailed the file to myself and receive the same indications but a little
clearer on the windows and indications that Macros have been blocked.
I have 3GB Ram and an Athalon 64X2 4600 2.4. I tried setting the security
for the macros as low as possible and it still crashes.
What could be causing this issue? What is best practices to ensure this
doesn't happen again? (I did turn on versioning in SharePoint after this)
They did not make me aware that they had actually began to use it as
extensively as they were.
Thanks,
Albert
