XP with office 2003 and IE7. I have lots of corrupted office files. (.exe,
doc, pub, txt). They are primarily in 2 directories. All the rest seem OK.
In fact, 1/2 of the files in 1 directory are OK and the other 1/2 are
corrupted. They all have a modified date of 1/30/07 between 3:31 and 3:45PM.
There are probably 100 + files. The only thing that I did that day was
install IE7. I didn't notice there were any problems until I went back to
get info from an old file 2 days ago. I still have lots of files from 2004
that are fine. I have done the repair, reinstalled office. I was going to
go back to my system restore but that probably won't do any good.
Any idea as to what might have happened? Any ideas as to what I can do to
get info back. I get no errors. Although I got an error on msiexec.exe when
I tried to install IE7. I restarted the install and everything seemed to be
