Corrupted Help file links

Seems my help files are corrupt. Its not the first level
help files - its the links to examples of the help files.
I tried replacing my .chm files that i found in the
microsoft knowledge base but that didn't work.
I can get to help but if I have to go a 2nd or 3rd level
link I just have grey boxes.

We are using ms office 2000, sp4
