Hi,
I met several times a situation that I verify that Outlook mail profile is
strangely and severely corrupted and cannot be corrected even by creating of
new Outlook mail profile.
However after I create a new user profile in Windows, everything works
smoothly.
Can someone suggest a procedure what places to clean to get fresh position
in existing Win profile to overcome my problems and not being forced to
re-establish my all settings ?
Because it is evident the fault is not in corrupted installed files, but in:
c:\Documents and Settings\?somewhere
and registry HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office?? something\
perhaps HKCU\? somewhere else
but can someone tell with certainty WHERE not to touch anything else except
Outlook and clean ALL pertaining to Outlook.
The last occurence I have seen was at the user that tried to upgrade to
Outlook 2007 and then changed mind and reverted back to Outlook 2003. The
problems of Outlook crashes were untroubleshootable.
Another such a problem was Outlook in corrupted Win profile saw Non-unicode
exchange store (even freshly created profiles), but under new Windows
profile, same machine, everything worked fine.
So WHAT to delete to cleanup ALL the Outlook settings when want to really
reainstall Outlook.
