Corrupted table - pls help

Arlene

I have a 75 page word document (MS Office 2000
Professional on Win 2000) - upon saving and opening "A
table in this document has become corrupted..." I have
tried to ID the faulty table to no success. How can I ID
the table that is faulty?

Thanks so much - driving me nuts
Arlene

Hi Arlene,

It is manual work , I am afraid...

1. Make a test copy of your document.
2. Then, delete the second half of your test document and save. If you do
not get the message, then the problem was in the deleted part (go to 3.). If
you get the error message, then the table is in the part you did not delete
(go to 4).
3. If you did not get a message, Create another test copy from the original
after deleting the useless working copy. Delete the first half (which you
know is OK), save and make a a new test copy of this new document that is
the half of the original.
4. If you did get the message, then keep the test document that has been
halved, and make a new test copy.
5. Repeat 2 to 4 until you identify the corrupt table.

If someone knows of a faster way, please share!

HTH
Cheers.
