Corrupted table

I have a table in an Access 2000 db that is corrupted and
any attempt to open it, copy it or in any way access it,
results in the message 'The object requires a newer
version of the Microsoft Jet database engine'. Creating a
new database and copying all objects except this table,
then copying an 'old version' of the table from a backup,
works for a day then the same thing happens. It is always
this table. The database is accessed via a second MS
Access application over a small network and runs fine when
operating locally on one node.

It had been operating fine for the past three years. Any
advice would be appreciated.

See Tony Toews' article on corruptions:

It sounds like you have some flaky network PCBs or hub in
your system. Access is fairly sensitive with intermittent
faults in network PCBs. We had a case like this and the
network people took about 2 weeks to find the fault and
replaced the network card.
