Corrupted VBA Project - Access 2000

I have an accounting application originally written in
97. I've converted it to Access 2000 sometime ago without
problem. We've added some additional code and had to
recompile. Now, some of the clients get the following
error message when trying to open the code in 2000:
"Visual Basic Project for application in the database is
corrupted" Any help will be appreciated.
