Corrupted Word 97 Forms in Word XP

J

John C.

I have numerous word documents that were created in Word
97. We have recently upgraded to Word XP.

(1) When opening the older documents (that previously did
not experience ANY problems), I receive a message that the
document contains macros and asks if I want to Disable-
Enable-Cancel.
----
I have looked for VBA code or macros, there are NO macros,
why am I receiving this message?

(2) Regardless if I Disable or Enable these misterious
macros, when editing the contents of a cell in the form,
the form becomes corrupted, and the document is closed
after acknoleging the corruption error.

Hi John,

Are these documents based on a template? Did you check the template
for macros?

To determine the attached template go to Tools/Templates and Add-ins
and note the Document Template.

Additionally, how do the forms become corrupt? Do you encounter an
error message? If so what is it?

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
