Corrupted Word File

L

Luke

When i open the word file i get a prompt sayin that the
file is corrupt and that i should select all and copy and
paste into a new document. If you just ignore the prompt
and click ok the file comes up fine and can be worked on.

When i copy and paste into a new document, the new file
still generates the corrupted file error.

How do i get rid of this prompt and fix the file??

Any suggestions?

I believe it has to do with the formatting of the file,
but i rather not have to go back through and re-format it.

If you are using Office XP, there is a great little tool -
with Word open, go file > open and then when the list of
files come up, just highlight the document you want then
the 'open' has a drop-down arrow - choose 'open &
repair'. Has always fixed corrupt formatting for me.
Good luck.
